Besides boasting some of the prettiest, flat, and easily-accessible sandy beaches, the seaside village is also noted for the Del Mar Racetrack and Fairgrounds. Situated on 5.2 acres of gracefully landscaped grounds with a private pathway to the beach, L’Auberge has relaxation at its core. In addition to the pools, fire pit decks and culinary experiences, the hotel features great surf and rich history. Spa L’Auberge is a coastal oasis for those seeking pampered rejuvenation.
 
Seasonally in the summer and fall, locals, and visitors alike revel in the carousing and merriment of horse racing season at the world renowned Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. Just down the road are the scenic hiking trails of Torrey Pines State Reserve.
 

Powerhouse Park

Powerhouse Park is the main waterfront park in Del Mar. It has large grass lawns, walking paths, showers, a playground for kids, picnic tables, and benches. During the summer, concert-goers gather on the lawn to enjoy the Twilight Summer Concert series. This is an oasis of unhurried, yet civilized living.
